The Senate Banking and Insurance Committee will meet today (Tuesday, June 2), to hold a public hearing to consider the nomination of Teresa Miller serve as state Insurance Commissioner according to Committee Chairman Senator Don White. The meeting will be held at 11 a.m. in Room 461, State Capitol, Harrisburg.
The committee will also consider two bills.
Senate Bill 747, introduced by Senator Elder Vogel, requires the state insurance Commissioner to investigate the awarding of punitive damages in cases brought within the health care industry over the past 10 years.
Senate Bill 861, introduced by Senator White, clarifies liability issues in cases involving auto dealership loaner vehicles.
